Every time very you eat that piece of candy or chocolate, the sugar slowly turns into acid, which eats away at the enamel on your teeth. Enamel helps protect your teeth against cavities, so if you do indulge on that extra piece of candy, please remember to brush your teeth afterwards to help prevent cavities from forming.
